The spirit of prayer
Let a quiet moment of gratitude lead to honest action.
Begin where you are
Do not compare the length or language of your prayer with anyone else’s. Use the form familiar to your tradition.
Use your own words
Name what you are thankful for and where you need courage. Ordinary words are enough.
On difficult days
You do not have to hide worry or grief. Speak to someone you trust when you need support.
Join prayer with action
After praying, choose one constructive step: correct a mistake, have a conversation, or rest.
An original prayer
“Give me the clarity to see what is right, courage to do it, and humility to treat others kindly.” This is an original Dharma Daily prayer.
