Focus on the work, not the outcome
A practical reflection on a teaching from the Bhagavad Gita.
The Gita reference
Bhagavad Gita 2.47 emphasizes action without attachment to its fruits and cautions against inaction. It does not ask us to abandon our responsibilities. Interpretations vary across traditions.
Try this today
Write two lists: what you control, such as preparation and care, and what you do not, such as another person’s decision. Choose one task from the first list.
A simple example
For a job interview, prepare three clear examples from your experience and practise explaining them. Review the feedback afterward instead of spending the day predicting the result.
A small resolution
I will give an important task my full attention today. I will stay humble in success and learn from setbacks.
